CSR Event : VITTIYA SAKSHARTA ABHIYAAN
IPER UG – CSR Community organized an awareness lecture on 9th January 2017 under the Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyaan for students to become familiar with digital banking and cashless transactions.
Student coordinators Ms. Aakansha Rajput and Mr. Abhay Saxena, BBA VI welcomed the guest Mr. Gaurav Agrawal, Cluster Manager, DCB Bank Ltd., Bhopal on behalf of the CSR Community and all IPER UG Students. Floral Welcome of the guest was done by Ms. Rajveer Kaur, BBA IV.
Thereafter Mr. Gaurav was called upon to take over the dais for addressing the students.
Mr. Gaurav in his speech for around an hour spoke on details of the advantages of cash less transactions through various modes of digital banking like e-banking, e-wallets, IMPS, RTGS, NEFT, Credit and Debit Cards, pre-paid cards. He also deliberated on the “VISAKA” program by Ministry of HRD, GOI. He said that through this program, “every market, small shopkeepers, Kiosks and consumers can make payment to the seller without handling cash, this system will not only account each and every transaction, but will also reduce the Black Money circulation from the system”. Students are the best platform to start this abhiyaan and can make it successful if everyone adopts cash less modes of payments, he said. Mr Gaurav informed that it is not necessary for anyone to have smart-mobile phone or internet connection to effect cash less transaction, USSD from a normal mobile phone can effect such payments by sending SMS to the Bank which will them complete the process within real time.
Mr. Gaurav ended his lecture by obtaining oath from students to indulge in cash less transactions only.
The session was followed by question – answer from students side as well as guest side.
After the Lecture, Ms. Rajveer Kaur, BBA IV presented a Memento of IPER to Mr. Gaurav as a mark of remembrance from the college. Thereafter vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Sheetal Mishra and ms. Honey Vyas, Students of BBA VI to the respected Guest, Chaitanya Shiksha Samiti, parent body of IPER UG. Students were especially thankful to the Group Director Prof. (Dr.) Amarjeet Singh Khalsa Sir for allowing such informative session. They also thanked Departmental Mentors Dr. Mahesh Soni, Dr. Vaibhav Lowlekar and Dr. Hersh Sharma along with Head of Departments. Finally thanked the Guest to spare his valuable time from busy schedule to address and inform us about the Abhiyaan.
