He said why Swamiji’s birth anniversary is celebrated as national youth day, because Swami Vibekanandaji could achieve in just his youth, feats so great that no other till today has accomplished. Swamiji was of the opinion that service to all other human being is greatest work automatically resulting in serving of the nation. That’s why the day has been included in the NSS yearly calendar.

NSS songs were sung by Students in rhythm with Mr. Abhishek. This singing inculcated a feeling of belonging and patriotism.

The students were thereafter divided into groups and asked to watch a movie on the life of Swami Vivekananda. Students were told to keenly and minutely watch the scenes as they will have to perform tasks in groups based on the life of Swamiji.

The documentary was a short one of about 40 minutes and inspired every one. His thought of giving back the individuality of the nation so that it is again known to the world, drew applause from students. Those who watched the scenes were impressed with the way Swamiji addressed the World Religion Congress at Chicago. He was the first person who got a standing ovation after the end of his address. His thought of “Sacrifice yourself for benefit of others” and “My India rise to a level where every nation look up to it”, filled everyone present there with nationalism and pride.

After the break, Groups were asked to perform various tasks like Skit, Essay writing, Poem writing and Role plays etc.

Thereafter Students were distributed participation certificates
