For Clean Bhopal – Swachh Map App at IPER UG with RJ Pihu

15th January 2018, IPER Auditorium Bhopal, “Let’s make Bhopal the Cleanest city of India !” – IPER UG Students joined the noble mission of Bhopal Municipal Corporation in a promotional programme organized at IPER Campus by popular Radio My FM. The programme was hosted by 94.3 MY FM RJ “Pihu” for the promotion of Swachh Map App by BMC. Its a BMC (Bhopal Municipal corporation) initiative to make citizens aware of cleanliness and how they can participate in making Bhopal clean.

Last year, Bhopal was holding the 2nd position that leads BMC to be more active for becoming on position 1. In addition, the app “Swachh Map App” was launched under the smart city project intervention.

RJ Pihu is a brand ambassador for making Bhopal number 1 in swacchta ranking.  In the event, more than two hundred students participated and downloaded the mobile app as instructed.The idea behind downloading the app signified that it allows users to upload a photo of garbage and civic body will clean it up within 2 hours.

The App download event started with welcoming guests by Ms. Rajveer Kaur Wazir and Ms. Priyamvada Jadon (student of BBA VIth sem). Miss Pihu along with Miss Snehal Baghel, an IPER alumni and now an executive of 94.3 MY FM, promote mobile app by highlighting its usage, importance, and benefits. She then took over proceedings with the slogan ” Bhopal ki tyaari hai is baar number one aane ki baari hai”.

Swachh Map App

Swachh Map App is easy to download free from Google Play Store.  By accessing swachh map appthe app icon, a user can upload the photo if he founds garbage dump anywhere in Bhopal. This dirty photo will mark as red which will directly send to BMC personnel for making it clean. After cleaning, a user can upload the clean photo and can mark it as green. The map will highlight the red and green marks on the map that will share the total number of complaints registered and solved under the city. The swachh app will be rolled out in all 85 wards of BMC that works on Android and IOS Platform.

IPER UG students downloaded the app instantly and eagerly interpreted its usage. Students were awarded silver medals as a part of appreciation who were in top ten to download the app at that instant. Dr. Mahesh Soni, the departmental mentor also presented a memento to RJ Pihu as a token of appreciation and thanks.
