RISE – The Annual Management Fest of UG

IPER-UG organised its annual management fest – RISE for Under Graduate students of various colleges of Bhopal in which different intellectual and physical games were conducted. The event saw huge participation of students of under graduation of Commerce and Management colleges like Career College, M. K. Ponda College, Anand Vihar College, IEHE, AISECT University and SECT College Etc.

The event started with the lighting of lamps by the Chief Guest Shri Aruneshwar Saran Singhdeo, Chairman, Bhopal Divisional Cricket Association followed by presentation of Glimpse of IPER institute.

The Chief Guest was then given floral welcome by the Group Director of IPER Group of Institutions Prof. (Dr.) Amarjeet Singh Khalsa, thereafter Dr. Vaibhav Lowlekar Strategic Group Member IPER, welcomed Mr. R. K. Sadhwani, Secretary Chaitanya Shiksha Samiti, parent body of IPER with bouquet and Strategic Group Member Prof. Mahesh Soni welcomed Mr. Narendra Kumar, Treasurer, Chaitanya Shiksha Samiti, Parent body of IPER.

Mr. Narendra Rawtani, Treasurer CSS, delivered the welcome speech introducing the Chief Guest and highlighting achievements of IPER group of Institutions. He also focused on details of strengths of IPER-UG. Mr. Narendra called upon the students of IPER-UG to become synonym with the name given to this event “RISE”. He thanked the Chief Guest for sparing his valuable time for this programme.

Prof. (Dr.) A. S. Khalsa, Group Director, IPER Group of Institutions; delivered inaugural speech with highlighting fact that today India has youth in the age group of 25 to 35 years and students have the responsibility to direct this young energy towards good behaviour through knowledge they acquire in institutions like us. He thanked the chief guest who also happens to be an ex-Campionite and Ex-BSSSite for coming to our annual IPER-UG Management Fest.

This was followed by the Speech of Chief Guest “Shri Aruneshwar Saran Singhdeo”, Chairman Bhopal Divisional Cricket Association and Ex-Maharaj Kumar of Erstwhile Sarguja State. He called upon the youth of the country to contribute their best for the progress of the nation and learn from failed Countries like Pakistan and Afganistan. It has always been the youth who have shaped the world through philosophy of inclusiveness and growth. This philosophy was followed by greats like “BHARAT” and “Alexander”. Bharat combined small units of India into one big formation ranging from now Tashkent in Russia to Bali in Indonesia. It was a speech which inspired and guided the youth of Bhopal to ensure development of the society by quoting Dr. Kalam to “Dream with eyes wide open and not just in the night”. His thought provoking words for the Under Graduate students were highly inspirational and filled with wisdom.

Thereafter Chief Guest was presented with a Memento by Dr. Hersh Sharma, Strategic Group Member IPER.

Vote of thanks to the Chief Guest was proposed by Prof. Mahesh Soni, Member Strategic Group IPER.

Then the fun and entertainment games started with “Monopoly” which was about Financial Management theories applied in practice for achieving goals of Business and simultaneously “Anulom Vilom (Jam)” which is based on logical consistency, factual accuracy and emotional appeal. Both these games refreshed the minds and body of the participants with the start of the days activities. Contestants from M K Ponda college were the winners in Monopoly. IEHE was the winner in Anulom Vilom.

Next activities lined up were also held simultaneously “Andaaz Apna Apna (Buy your basket)” which was about exploring the Financial and Buying abilities of the participant and “Imprint” (T-shirt painting), was about painting Tee-Shirt using fabric colours on theme ‘Clean India / Swachh Bharat’. M K Ponda college were the winners in Andaaz Apna Apna. SECT college participants were the winner in Imprint.

After a short lunch break another set of activities were held simultaneously “Mgyan” and “X-Gen”. Mgyan was a multi round quiz on Movies, Music and Management subjects and then X-Gen a LAN game which saw huge participation and was a major attraction of the day. M K Ponda College was the winner in Mgyan and AISECT University was the winner in X-Gen.
