Summer Internship focused MBA Semester-2 commences
After the University examinations break, the MBA Semester-2 commenced at IPER today on 12th Feb 2018. The commencement session began with a short briefing on the academic curriculum and study pattern by Dr. Amarjeet Singh Khalsa, Group Director (IPER). The key focus of this semester will be a Summer Internship.
At IPER MBA, the grading parameters are a combination of academics performance and allied activities. While MBA first semester was more action-oriented, with activities like Abhiyaan series of activities, debates, Reflexions Management Fest and various sports competitions to name a few, the second semester will be more practical oriented and focussing on preparing for Career development each individual student.
In this session that will include the Summer Campus Placements towards its latter half, students shall also be focusing on PEPS (Placement Eligibility and Preparation Session), an indigenous and proven system developed by IPER Academics for professional skill development of MBA students, and aptitude tests. These Aptitude Tests and professional skill development sessions are unique to IPER and are not provided anywhere else. Thus, the second semester is an opportune time for students to learn and prepare for the upcoming bigger challenge of their lives – their Career.
IPER MBA & Summer Internship
The Second Semester of MBA is purely focused on academics with the objective of the Summer Internship. Summer Internship has a lasting impact on the career of every MBA degree holder and is thus considered as the gate pass to the beginning of their professional career. The Summer Internship at IPER MBA shall be scheduled in the first/second week of May 2018. Add-on activities in this semester, like Market Wrestling contest (The IPER Marketing WWF Event), Case Study Analysis contests, CMTP – Contemporary Management Theories & Practices sessions, Guest & Alumni lecture sessions, are intended to enable the students to understand the real world corporate scenarios better. A satisfying performance at Summer Internships will be an undeniable parameter for success at Final Campus Placements that shall begin soon after.
Its time for the MBA Batch of 2017-19 to pull up their boots and prepare to grab the career opportunities for management students. Its time to study hard and grab the opportunity with honed skills and knowledge. IPER wishes students good luck on the commencement of this new session.
