IPER NSS Activity: World Health Day
IPER-UG Students conducted NSS activity on 7th April 2017 – “World Health Day” at Keeratnagar with its residents. The program highlighted the Right to Healthy life, the precautions to be taken against diseases and various schemes promoted by State as well as Central government towards TB eradication & welfare schemes.
Program started with Rally displaying Placards and slogan like “Keep health on priority and other works later”, “All diseases have one medicine – keep your surroundings clean”, “if you want your life to be cheerful, keep watch on your heath” and “Wash your hand with soap keep diseases away from life” etc., all these were announced through loud speakers. The rally witnessed participation from all residents young and old of Keeratnagar. It culminated at the Village Punchayat office.
Two different Nukkad natak based on Swasth Bharat and Swachch Bharat were played to bring awareness in the villagers about importance of cleanliness for healthy life, by BBA II semester Section ‘A’ and BBA II semester Section ‘B’ respectively.
Lastly a briefing was done by students to the residents of Keeratnagar about protection from “Heatstroke” which shall be ensuing with the onset of summer shortly.
The Sarpanch Shrimati Kanchan Keer and Shri Suraj Bhaiyya addressed the students and gathering of village residents calling upon them for arranging construction of toilets at home, so that they don’t have to venture out in the fields. This way the village will not only become open defecation free but can also remain clean and disease free.
Ms. Nidhi Patel, student B Com VI semester presented a memento to the Surpanch as a token of appreciation of the villager’s participation and making the program a grand success. Ms. Shivangi Singh, student B Com VI semester gave thanks letter to Shri Suraj Bhaiyya for his keen interest taken in the program and allowing the IPER-UG NSS volunteers to participate in this program.
