Product Launch Simulation Contest – WWF Season 11 was organized for management students on 22nd April 2017 at IPER Campus. Institute of Professional Education & Research is one of the finest management institutes in Central India.

Product Launch Simulation – Learning the IPER Way

A Product Launch Simulation is an ideal practice for learning the nuances of Sales, Marketing, product manufacturing and its market placement for students of Management Courses. This Event at IPER was the 11th Season of WWF – The Market Wrestling. The Event itself has carved its own niche at IPER Campus amongst the students and Alumni who rate this event highly as a learning tool.

The event began with visiting of stalls by the Corporate Guests, stalls where student teams showcased the product brand alloted to them. This mock trade fair was the way to showcase the products’ features in the eleventh season of market wrestling – WWF at IPER.

At the beginning of the event, students presented their products brilliantly, after which the second round started which was the Business Plan showcasing via Powerpoint presentations.

In this 11th Season of WWF, 13 teams participated in four product categories – Carwash Shampoo, Ghee (Dairy Product), Hand Sanitizers and Bicycles. In the Business plan the students modeled and presented their view of market factors. Such as – the market risks, manufacturing requirements, distribution channel plans, etc.

Hand Sanitizer Category:

The Winning Team in this category was of Aditi Sharma, Amit Mishra and group (IPER-MBA Semester-2 Batch 2016-18) who presented their Product “Nature’s Drop”

The other participating teams in Hand Sanitizer category were –

Umar Khan, Kratika Goyal (IPER-MBA Semester-2 Batch 2016-18) and team with Product named “Nature’s Creation”

Akshita Sharma, Shagun Trehan (IPER-MBA Semester-2 Batch 2016-18) and team presented Product named “Swachh”

Car Wash Shampoo Category:

The Winning Team in this category was of Ritu Tanwani, Avijeet Singh and group (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) who presented their product “Insta Care Shampoo”.

In addition, the other participating teams in Car Wash Shampoo category were –

Jolly Gupta, Tayyab Khan (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) and team with Product named “10 on 10”.

Nitya Shukla, Arvind Patel (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) and team presented Product named “Car o Care”.

Pure Ghee Category:

The Winning Team in this category was of Tanya Gohil, Ayush Saxena and group (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) who presented their product “Swarna Ghee”.

The other participating teams in Pure Ghee category were –

Surbhi Jain, Ajay Tiwari (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) and team with Product named “Rohini Ghee”.

Karthik Nair, Aarti Patel (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) and team presented Product named “Swarna Ghee”.

Arijit Sharma, Shaily Gupta (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) and team presented Product named “Dharohar Ghee”.

Cycle Category:

The Winning Team in this category was of Diksha Lalwani, Karthik Goswami and group (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) who presented their product “Torque Cycles”.

Also, The other participating teams in Cycle category were –

Wasi Haider, Aruni Jain (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) and team with Product named “Chase Bicycle”.

Harshil Vora, Tanya Jain (IPER-MBA Semester -2 Batch 2016-18) and team presented Product named “Rider Cycle”.

It was a wonderful sight at the Campus of IPER from 9 AM in the morning as the student teams had set up interesting advertisements of their mock products.  Seasoned professionals from the Corporate were present on the occasion for judging the performance of the teams. These professionals were from – Samsung Electronics, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, Britannia Industry, Asian Paints, Amul, Vadilal, Bike Studio & Havells India.

The MBA students demonstrated and showcased their product and plans via presentation. Also, the detailed market plans included – Market Analysis, Product Variant, Sales Plan, Costing, Retail Plan, etc.

In Conclusion –

The objective of organizing WWF Market Wrestling – The Product Launch Simulation Contest at IPER is to balance and establish a connection between the Education and Corporate world. Our guests/ experts also mentor the students to keep them at par with the real-world scenarios.
