IPER NSS Activity : International Women’s Day

Around the globe, women celebrated women’s day –   to commemorates the movement for women’s rights. International Women’s Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women. The gender parity has improved but a lot still needs to be done. Everybody has to contribute to accelerate gender parity. There are lots of schools, colleges and organizations share their feelings, experiences about the women and their noteworthy work. This day, several individuals take help of social media to honor the outstanding women who are known for them.

The students of IPER UG and the volunteers of NSS organize a Campaign at Keerat Nagar on 8th March 2017 along with the women to celebrate the “International Women’s Day”. They explain the basic requirements for women empowerment, gender equality, constitutional rights and education via different ways – Skit, movie shows, etc.

The main theme of this camp was spreading awareness about the issues that women individually face in today’s world. With the International Women’s Day and a Day without Women, we all want to raise this awareness – and try to make it clear that this is an actual cause which needs protest and fight. Annually this day celebrate for women’s achievements throughout history and across nations. In other words, this day is also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace.

The program started with Rally displaying placards and banners in support of women empowerment and other needs of them. After the rally, The UG student volunteers start briefing which focused on why women’s safety, education, equality, empowerment is significant for us.  But on contrary, it does make a difference and can bring in a greater change in the face of India. Basically, the secret behind this celebration is to point out the accomplishments of women in terms of social, political and economic ways.

IPER-UG, Prof. Niranjan Mudaliar presented a memento and acknowledgment letter to the representative of Sarpanch Manoj Bhaiyya. He thanked the IPER-UG College Unit of NSS Bhopal for organizing such program.
