Bachelor of Commerce

Commerce plays a key role in all aspects of life and is an important subject worth knowing more about.

This course is ideal for students who are interested in the field of business with a commercial background or who want to pursue a core commerce degree.

Bachelor of Commerce is a three year course. This course aims to provide students with the knowledge, tools of analysis and skills with which to understand and participate in the modern business and economics world, to prepare them for subsequent graduate studies and to achieve success in their professional careers.

Bachelor of Commerce at IPER adapts a unique course delivery pedagogy that caters to the new generation undergraduate degrees with emphases including Career Development Programs.

B.Com Course Structure

B.Com is a full-time undergraduate degree course affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal. Admission to this course is conducted through the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, once every year. Read the ‘Eligibility & Admission’ tab to get more details.

Academic Pedagogy

The goal of our B.Com programme is to empower the students to grab the opportunities, being newly created in Accounting and Finance as a profession fueled by Globalization, Privatization and Liberalization. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and competence in the field of finance and accounts to pursue a professional career and / or furthering higher education. The salient features of Academics at IPER UG are:

    • Practical based Class Teaching: The classroom lectures are designed keeping in mind that the student should be able to understand the concepts easily and at the same time he/she should also be able to visualize the applicability of the concepts in real life outside the classroom.
    • Course Outline: At the core of Academics at IPER UG is the Course Outline. The Course Outline of every subject is given to the students on Day 1 of his college at IPER UG, so as to apprise them about the Topics to be studied, Text & Reference Books, Readings, Assignments, Classroom Activities, Web Resources, CCEs etc.
    • CCE (Class Comprehensive Evaluation): Evaluating the students is necessary to check & ensure they are grasping the topics being taught in the class. This is done in every subject round the year through a judicious mix of various activities like Assignments, Presentations, Group Discussions, Industry Visits, Quizzes, Class Tests, Role Plays etc. keeping in mind the needs and requirement of the respective subject.
    • BullzIPER: Communication & Vocational Skills are an important ingredient to make a student ready for a job, higher studies or to take on the entrepreneurial instincts in him. BullzIPER is an exclusively designed programme for IPER UG students in the form of round the year classroom sessions, engaging & challenging activities to hone up their Communication & Vocational Skills.
    • Mentor Mentee Programme: Each student at IPER UG is guided by a pre-assigned Faculty Mentor. The Faculty Mentor keeps in touch with the students & parents on regular basis to appraise them about the student’s performance both inside & outside the classroom. The objective is to identify the key areas on which the student needs to focus and improve upon.
    • Technological Facilities: To ensure that the students at IPER UG have access to the best available learning resources and material we have in place Classrooms equipped with modern teaching-aids, State of the Art Library & Hi-Tech Computer Lab. All important Notices & Teaching Material (Subject wise Course Outlines, Power Point Presentations, Readings, Cases etc.) are made available to students 24×7 through our Online Academic Portal.

    Eligibility Criteria

    For applying to get admission in B.Com at IPER UG, a candidate should have passed 12th Standard (or equivalent) Examination from a Recognized Board as per the rules of Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

    Admission Process

    Admission in B.Com at IPER UG is strictly through the Online Counselling conducted by Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Following are the important steps to apply for admission after declaration of Online Counselling Schedule by Higher Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh:

    Step 1: Registration & Choice Filling (Online) at MP Online Portal of Higher Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh (IPER UG College Code for Choice Filling is INS1465)

    Step 2: Document Verification from Government Appointed HelpDesk – if the registration form is not verified online or in case of any error.

    Step 3: Declaration of Merit List (Online) by Higher Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh as per the schedule.

    Step 4: Online Payment of Tuition Fees in the allotted College.

    Scholarship

    IPER UG has always believed in rewarding the meritorious students. Keeping in line with our tradition we are happy to announce IPER UG Meritorious Scholarship to reward the meritorious students from their Day 1 of College life on the basis of his/her Percentage Marks in 12th Standard, applicable for all 03 years. The table below mentions the scholarship details for all 03 years:

      The Guidelines of the Government of Madhya Pradesh will be applicable. IPER UG provides full assistance to its students in availing the scholarships available to students under various Government Schemes.

      Yes, Bus/Transport Facility from all the major areas of Bhopal City. The Facility is provided free of cost to all the students of IPER UG for all the 3 Years.
