National Sports Day at IPERUG – 29th August 2022
IPER-UG under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS), Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Fit India Mission aimed to take FIT India movement to its students of Under-Graduation. Under this, IPER-UG celebrated the National Sports Day on 29th August observed across the nation to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand.
More than 200+ students of IPER UG celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play with various indoor and outdoor games like Table Tennis, Rope Skipping, Chess, Tug of War, Dart Game, Wrestling and Power Yoga.
Mohd. Adnan Qureshi ( BBA 2nd Year) was the winner of Table Tennis Championship whereas Ansh Jain (BBA 3rd Year) and Disha Madhoriya (BBA 1st Year) secured the first place in Rope Skipping Competition. In the intense competition of Tug of War, the Champions in Boys Category were the team of Aditya Goyal, Ansh Jain, Neeraj Dawani, Sagan Tiwari, Ameer Khan, Pratham Sahu and in Girls Category the winners were the team of Sakshi Kamle, Kratika Kotwani, Shubhi Sharma, Kashish Khiyani, Riya Kaur, Deepali Haldar.
Ansh Patidar and Riya Kaur (BBA 1st Year) won the event of Dart Game whereas Arnav Vyas (BBA 2nd Year) and Deepali Haldar (BBA 1st Year) won the Arm-Wrestling Competition. Yash Saxena (BBA 3rd Year) was declared the winner of Power Yoga whereas Mayur Bhawnani (BBA 1st Year) was the winner in Chess Competition. The winners of the sports activities were acknowledged by Certificates for their achievement after the completion of the events.
