WWF: The Product Launch Simulation Season 13
IPER’s WWF: The Market Product Launch Simulation Competition Season 13 was held on 20th April 2019 at IPER Campus. In the fortnight-long activity, the student teams of MBA Class of 2020 went into the extensive market study, requirement analysis, development and implementation of their business plan for their allotted product. Students showcased their skills and teamwork during the period. Each team was guided by their assigned Faculty Guide who guided them through the competition to stand out from their competitors. This Market Simulation helped students to understand the competitive and strategic marketing decision-making skills required to launch a product or service. Several honored Corporate Guests were present to judge the performance of the teams.
WWF Product Categories
IPER WWF provided the finest platform to the MBA students of the Campus to test their business acumen in a real-world scenrio. There were 5 categories of products in this Market Wrestling-
- Food Delivery Services
- Organic Vegetables
- Herbal Tea
- Kids Breakfast Cereal
- Popcorn
Under each product category, there were 03 teams who undertook the Market visit to understand the market dynamics. Prepared launching plan by considering the competition while analyzing all the aspects. Students made a detailed presentation of their launching plan and prepared promotion posters as well. All the 15 teams showcased their long haul hard work completely to the corporate and industrial experts followed by Q&A. The judges provided valuable feedbacks and worthy tips to the teams for working in a real market environment.
The Go-Getters of Product Launch
Every team performed exceptionally well but there are always some teams that stand apart from others which we call the Winners. The overall winner of the WWF: The Market Simulation Season 13 was FoodIt under the category Food Delivery Services. The runner up team was Organic Satva from Organic Vegetables category. The category wise winners were A-Maized (Popcorn), Herbal Sparsh (Herbal Tea) and Kidz Real (Kids Cereal).
This event was a synonym of Learning in Action and the real winners were the one who participated and learned every practical aspect of doing business and understanding the advantages and challenges of working in a team. Recognizing the power of decision making and moreover, learning from mistakes. The aim of the Product Launch Simulation Contest is to balance and establish a connection between the Education and Corporate World which IPER has always done successfully.
In Conclusion
The Group Director of IPER Institute Dr. A S Khalsa addressed the teams with words of appreciation for creating a realistic environment of Product Launching. He praised all the participants and the mentors who worked hard for the success of the 13th season of WWF: The Market Simulation. IPER congratulate all the winners and wish them a streak of luck.
