Successful Conclusion of the International Conference on “World Economic Growth – India as a Growth Stimulus”

Bhopal, India, June 30, 2024 – The International Conference on “World Economic Growth – India as a Growth Stimulus,” organized by IPER and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Madhya Pradesh, successfully concluded on June 29, 2024, at the IPER Campus in Bhopal. The conference saw the participation of over 400 delegates from India and abroad, including esteemed researchers, industry leaders, and academics, representing 21 states in India and five countries globally.

The event commenced with a message from Mr. K. J. Rawtani, Chairman of Chaitanya Shiksha Samiti, the parent body of IPER Group of Institutions, emphasizing the significance of the conference theme in the current global economic scenario. Mr. Narendra Rawtani, Treasurer of Chaitanya Shiksha Samiti, welcomed the delegates. In his welcome address sir discussed the sectoral data points in regard to economic growth. This was followed by a thematic address by Dr. Amarjeet Singh Khalsa, Group Director of IPER, where-in he addressed the top 10 leading business performers of India and their contribution to economic growth. Further, he covered value chain, GDP & GST relevance as India’s potential for growth stimulus.

Prof. Shingo Ashizawa, Vice President and Professor at Kansai University of International Studies, Japan, delivered an inspiring inaugural address on global economic dynamics, global entrepreneurship projects, brain circulation, bilateral agreements between India & Australia on Educational Qualification Recognition. Dr. Rob Ferguson, Associate Dean at Vancouver Island University, Canada, provided insights into developing harmonious relationships and fundamentals to global mobility. Prof. Suresh Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor of Barkatullah University, highlighted the importance of academic and industry collaboration for economic growth, new education policy, self-introspection.

Ms. Amrita Gupta, State Head of CII Madhya Pradesh, discussed CII’s initiatives in fostering economic development.

Dr. Kumar Bijoy, Associate Professor, University of Delhi threw light on policies of  government for economic growth and perspectives and strategies to harness India’s potential as a growth stimulus.

A significant highlight of the conference was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between IPER and CII Madhya Pradesh. This MOU aims to enhance cooperation in research, training, and development activities, fostering stronger ties between academia and industry to drive economic growth and innovation.

The conference featured five technical sessions where over 50 research papers were presented on topics related to economic policies, global market trends, and sustainable growth strategies. A book comprising 20 selected research papers out of 148 submissions was unveiled, published by Excel Publications with an ISBN, marking a significant academic contribution to the field of economic growth.

The valedictory session saw Dr. Vivek Sharma, Dean of the Faculty of Management at Barkatullah University, concluding the conference with remarks on the future outlook for India’s economic role.

Mr. Rob Kamranpoor, a Leadership Coach from Toronto, Canada, delivered a keynote on leadership and economic development.

Throughout the conference, engaging panel discussions, keynote addresses, and networking sessions provided participants with valuable insights and fostered meaningful discussions and collaborations. The event underscored India’s contributions and potential as a major economic force globally. The conference concluded with a call for continued collaboration and innovation to sustain and enhance global economic growth, with India playing a central role in this dynamic landscape.
