Bachelor of Commerce (BCom Honors) at IPER, is a three-year undergraduate course meant to impart students with an understanding of state of the art of management and business concepts practices with a view to prepare them to face the emerging challenges of managing resources, managing business processes and managing managers.This course is affiliated to Barkatullah University. Bcom Hons Course Features

Graduate would be able to :

  • Demonstrate a knowledge of macro and microeconomic theory as it relates to current macroeconomics, markets, firms, government policy, and resource allocation.
  • Apply basic mathematical and statistical skills necessary for analysis of a range of problems in Economics, actuarial studies, accounting, marketing, management and finance

Academic Features
The goal of our BCom programme is to produce all round candidates. We inculcate critical thinking and evaluation, impart technological competence in a very practical environment.

Teamwork and Communication is an integral component of the programme. Students are assigned group projects that promote group learning and help improve the organisational and leadership skills. Through written and oral presentations, the students develop the confidence to effectively communicate their ideas in a corporate forum.

Student Clubs
A vital part of IPER UG experience is the Students Clubs. Its a vibrant community based on the diversity of our national student body and serves as an important network for alumni and the wider community. These clubs also organise various events through the year that gives an opportunity to every individual student to explore their personal interests and potentials.
There are 4 students clubs at IPER UG –

Evolve – The Academic Club : responsible for holding academic events like Debate, Quiz contests, etc.
Sanskriti – The Cultural Club : focuses on performing arts, fusions, fresher and farewell parties, festivals, games, etc.
Warriors – The Sports Club : encourages participation in games and sports competitions for physical and mental well-being.
Prayaas – A CSR Initiative : takes the initiative of save the environment concern further by organizing events that sensitises students about our ecosystem and its preservation.

Eligibility & Admission Procedure

 

For admission to Bachelor of Commerce (BCom Honors), a Candidate should have:

  • Eligibilty for the course as per Barkatullah University norms.

Fee Structure

Fee details (Session 2017) for BCom Honors Full-time Regular Degree Course at IPER UG:

  • Tution Fee* :Rs. 13,975/- per quarter
  • Caution Fee :Rs. 1,650/- (to be paid in First Quarter, refundable)

Bus Facility is free. The above mentioned fee includes all of the following facilities –

  • Free transportation facility
  • Access to all the intellectual informational database
  • Usage of Wi-Fi Internet all across the Campus
  • Access to IPER’s E-Learning Portal – Moodle

*-The Institute holds all rights to increase annual fee by maximum 6%

Admissions Bachelor of Commerce (BCom Honors) is done by Higher Education Department, M.P. through an online process.

Students have to complete registration process with MP Higher Education portal( mphighereducation.nic.in) for admission in any of the colleges of their choice. Its a four step process:

  • Step A: Collect College Code (College code of IPER is ins1465) and courses that you want to apply from MP Higher Education portal.
  • Step B: Register for admission, specify college-course preferences.
  • Step C: Generate & Print challan.
  • Step D: Pay challan and print application form.

After printing the application form , student need to get the application form verified from any of the listed government colleges

What is the full form of BCom?

B.Com stands for Bachelor of Commerce, is an undergraduate degree in Commerce stream. This bachelor degree is available in different variants/ specializations – B.Com Honors, B.Com Economics, B.Com Advertising and Sales Promotion, B.Com Principles and Practices of Insurance, B.Com Foreign Trade Practice and Procedure.

How many seats are available for BCom courses at IPER?

Current intake capacity in B.Com Courses are as follows –

  1. B.Com Honours – 120 Seats
  2. B.Com with Economics – 40 Seats
  3. B.Com with Marketing and Advertizing – 15 Seats
  4. B.Com with Principles and Practices of Insurance – 15 Seats
  5. B.Com with Foreign Trade Practice and Procedure – 10 Seats
  6. (SC/ST/OBC Quota is applicable as per the rules and regulations of Higher Education Department, Govt. of M.P.)

What is the Eligibility Criteria for getting admission in BCom Honors?

For admission to Bachelor of Commerce (Economics), a Candidate should have:

  • Passed 12th standard (or equivalent) examination and obtained at least 45% (40% marks for reserved category students)
  • Admissions is done by Higher Education Department, M.P. through an online process. Candidates should register online at DTE website, followed by choice filling for desired college/course/specialisation.
