Corporate Social Responsibility – “Divine Hands”
The CSR community of IPER UG, organized an event namely “Divine Hands” for providing social support to the under privileged students of Government schools where there are dearth of facilities like infrastructure and entertainment.
Students took part in this event wholeheartedly and extended their cooperation in making the program a great success.
The event started with UG students boarding the Bus for going to the village school along with Dr. Trupti Dave, HOD Management, IPER UG and Dr. Upasana Sharma, HOD Commerce, IPER UG. Upon reaching the venue, a Rally was taken out by the students which went through the village road having so small space that no more than two persons can pass through at a time. Rally highlighted the importance of saving existing trees, planting new trees and nurturing green and clean environment.
The next agenda was tree plantation near the boundary wall of school. IPER UG Students were too happy when they were informed that they will be doing the plantation. There was so much enthusiasm in participating in it that several students apart from those who had given their names earlier also wanted to plant the Ashoka saplings, made ready by the gardeners. Students cleaned the surrounding areas around trenches prepared by the gardeners and then planted saplings. Watering the saplings was also done by the students along with poses for camera.
Next on the list was a skit by B.Com (Hons) I students followed by mime from B.Com (Hons) II students. Posters and charts by interested IPER UG students prepared on the previous day of the event were also pasted on the walls of classroom inside the school, depicting importance of green India clean India.
Last of the item was to entertain the students of the middle school from class 6th to class 8th comprising of both boys and girls. All the participants were given éclairs and the winners were given perk chocolate.
It was a day of fun and frolic for the school students as well as our students who thoroughly enjoyed the hours spent with them. A photo session was held in the school premises consisting of IPER UG Students, IPER UG Head’s, IPER UG Faculties, School Students along with School Incharge, Ms. Seema Bijbe.
