Hariyali Mahotsav 2019 Concludes

The environment is the most important source of life. A healthy environment is essential for healthy living. But the fact that the human impact on the environment has been very disappointing and degrading. By considering this fact, IPER UG student communities took a much-needed step for the betterment of the environment and organized the event “Hariyali Mahotsav“. The event aimed to spread awareness of tree plantation and promoting the young generation to take responsibility for the better tomorrow.

On 16th August, CSR/NSS community organized the event of tree plantation, pledge and slogan writing. A large number of students came upfront for these activities. Especially, the tree plantation, where students planted saplings in the campus and pledged to reduce the plastic usage and spread the message of plantation. On 19th August, the R&L and Arts Community structured the events like Painting Competition, Essay Writing, and Speech. Some exceptional artistic and literary y skills were showed by the undergraduates in the event. Students performed their respective tasks by keeping the Hariyali Mahtosav theme in mind. On 20th August, the CI community of students organized Quiz Competition, where students showcased their general knowledge awareness of environment.

Undoubtedly, we have done enough damage to nature and its time to retort what we owe. Group Director of IPER Dr. Amarjeet Singh Khalsa appreciated the event Hariyali Mahotsav and the extraordinary efforts of student communities for their amelioration of environment. It is the beginning when we say Do More Be More and IPER owes to contribute as much as possible for the good of society and nature.
