IPER MBA Students at E Summit 2018 – IIT Bombay
The students of IPER MBA Batch 2017-19 attended the Entrepreneurship Summit – E Summit 2018. Organized by IIT Bombay on 27-28 January, the event was aptly titled as “A Zenith of Innovation”. The conclave had the presence of popular entrepreneurs from India and 7 other countries. Guest speakers included people like Mr. Akshay Kothari, Linkedin India Head, Mr. Divyank Turakhia, Founder & CEO media.net, Mr. Bhavish Aggarwal, Co-Founder & CEO of OLA, Mrs. Arundhati Bhattacharya, Former Chairperson of SBI, and Mr. Shiv Khera.
The 2-day Summit organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell), a non-profit organisation run by students of IIT Bombay, provided a platform to participate in panel discussions with the guests, Competitions and Workshops. Students from leading colleges and universities from across India participated in the Event. IPER MBA students also participated in the Panel Discussions and Competitions and had loads of learning experience to carry back home.
Students speak on E Summit Experience
Pratibha Kewalramani, a student of IPER, says “I attended the seminar on Net App Accelerator based on technology and was happy to be a part of Mrs Arundhati Bhattacharya’s seminar. It gave us the information about banking and the financial areas of economy, how they work, how foreign exchange works and about investment banking”.
Another student of IPER, Harsha Manwani, who attended the E Summit said, “I got an insight of the entrepreneur world. The Game of Thrones competition was a competition where we were given situations with characters of the series in focus. Each participant had to allocate 100 virtual coins to elements like Food, Horsemen, Archer, etc.”
“I participated in Virtual Trading. Every participant in it had to invest a maximum of 64 Lacs to 8 startups showcased through video presentations. I also had the chance to converse with professionals who shared information of their startups. It was an amazing summit to attend”, added Harsha.
Lavina Kalra, a student of IPER MBA, seemed overjoyed with the opportunity she got in the Summit to listen to the likes of Mrs. Arundhati Bhattacharya, Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal and Shiv Khera. Summarizing the event, Lavina felt that the summit provided students an opportunity to interact with the startups and fetch an Internship advantage.
Kiran Panjwani felt it was a great learning platform for budding entrepreneurs. Kiran attended the NetApp Excellerator‘s programme and said that it was designed to help enterprise startups to achieve their full potential through mentorship with one of Netapp’s largest R&D teams.
