Social Awareness Camp by IPER UG Students
Unpleasant though the situation is but the fact is that the accident occurs and the worst part is to be a helpless witness to it. To be able to handle this emergency situation, we all should have a basic knowledge of “First Aid Procedure” to help the injured. IPER UG Students CSR Community “Divine Hands” organized a social awareness program to generate awareness among school, college students and local community of the suburban aread of Bhopal – Misrod Town. The theme of the program was to spread Social Awareness on “First Aid Procedures”.
First aid procedure comprises of simple techniques that can be very helpful in saving someone’s life. It can be carried out by any layman to help the injured or the affected patient until professional treatment can be received.
According to one survey, around 3000 people die of heart attack everyday and most of them die due to lack of immediate help. While in rural areas numbers are more than the urbans. To some extent, this situation can be avoided with the awareness of first aid medical facilities in the society. Although the Government and NGOs have started several social programs to spread the awareness in rural areas, but, the effectiveness of these programs depends on how the society takes it up.
The “Divine Hands” Students community of IPER UG Bhopal conducted this program with the support of Doctors from Noble Hospital (Misrod). The awareness program was held at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Misrod, Bhopal on 24th Oct 2017.
