Is anger bad ?
Is anger bad ? Well, anger is a completely normal, usually healthy, human emotion. But when it gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems—problems at work, in your personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life.Otherwise, anger is just a natural emotion that helps you to say ‘no’ and express your reservations without mincing your words.
Anger needs to be managed, not repressed else it may turn gradually into rage and this can be damaging. Getting angry helps to vent out our emotions – but to the right extent. And this where anger management comes in – probably the easiest way to do this would be giving a second thought, revisiting the incidence with all possible angles and then reacting. This renewed understanding, would for sure help to balance our emote, and get over it quickly.
Emotions like grief, anger, envy, fear, and love are all natural. We are born with it and these are tools to help us negotiate our life. Emotions are to be expressed and handled right. If harnessed correctly, they can be highly instrumental in achieving our goals. And if not, they can be twice destructive.
For example, grief is a natural emotion and one vents out usually by crying over it. Crying considered as a sign of weakness and not emoting grief out would render an individual in chronic depression -this is bad. Similarly envy is a natural emotion and makes one try harder until success. But if repressed, it becomes jealousy, a very
unnatural emotion. Fear is also a natural emotions and brings in caution. However, if repressed, fear turns into panic and invites troubles. Love is to be expressed, and if continually repressed becomes possessiveness.
In Closing,
Emotions are divine tools of life. We are born with it. We have to craft it out with our understanding and experience. Remember, emotions cannot be eliminated. Managing & controlling your emote responses is the way out. Angry people should learn to be assertive rather than aggressive.
