Student Life: Connecting Learnings to Life

Student Life: Connecting Learnings to Life

Every year, IPERUG hosts its annual event. This is an entirely student-run event; each college from the the city, though not limited to the city are eligible to submit their interests to participate in any area be it be a solo, or group performances. This year—marking the 2nd year of the original competition—the festival ran from February 26 to February 27.

RISE – A core component of student life

This year I could understand why its so. There is nothing greater than supporting quality student work and, more than that, learning from the experience at the same time. RISE is designed to promote themes of inclusivity, diversity, and acceptance – and therefore from an organizers point of view it becomes very complex. Brainstorming to come up with new engaging ideas and convincing about the items/activities that would lace the event is challenging.

For sure, these festivals at colleges refresh the minds of youngsters and provide an opportunity to them to show their talent. The campus came alive with joyous scenes as students, usually busy with special classes, study hours and examinations, were seen dancing to the tunes of trumpet beats at the festival. These festival, I believe highlights the importance of fest as an essential creative outlet with the potential to connect the entire student body across the city.

Being a part of Rise Season-2 committee digital branding, learned a lot of things, experienced new things like editing videos, photography etc. Managing people and making work done by others that what is basically management. We had lots of fun in doing new things everyday. We had responsibilities and had been busy completing the given tasks and target asper deadlines. Probably this made our Big day – a magnificent event for all the participants and audience alike. These two days of amusement and the month long preparation we had to do to make it happen will always go down my memory lanes as the most fun-filled moments of my life.
