Radio Mirchi – Interactive Session
An “Interactive Talk Show” – by Radio Mirchi was hosted by IPER UG. The guests included renowned TV and Film Actress Ms. Swastika Chakraborty and Ms. Shruti Simhal, leading Film Producer and media personality in Bhopal whose family owned the erstwhile Rambha theatre. RJ Roopak from Radio Mirchi – 98.3 FM coordinated the programme, he was accompanied by the team from Radio Mirchi. The dignitaries from Radio Mirchi were at IPER to promote their upcoming event “Freshers Bash Eve 2K15” at Hotel Amer Greens on 25th Aug 2015.
RJ Roopak started the talk show by calling upon the youngsters that now a day we not only talk about entertainment but other political and social issues also. Ms. Swastika inspired the students that to become big, it is not necessary that we must live in metros but even Bhopal gives all opportunities to theatre, television and media artists.
Many students asked a question on wide-ranging topics like censorship, Hollywood movies remake, Good Directors and low budget movies etc. Several of them won prizes from show coordinator RJ Roopak. Ms. Shruti and Ms. Swastika stressed upon the need for giving a status of honour to women in all walks of life. Students who won prizes will get a special invitation to the Freshers Bash Eve.
The guests ended the program with highlighting the issue about movies being a mirror of the society and they become a hit as we young people want to see them. Although there are movies which are late starters like Bahubali who have gained mass attraction through social media and mouth publicity. The concluding remark of Ms. Shruti was that films are for entertainment and fantasies such star-studded movies will always be in maximum demand.
