Academia - Industry Partnership: To Facilitate Transfer of Practical Knowledge

It is witnessed that the ever changing business scenario and associated intricacy of the current globalized business environment have compelled the industry and the academia to come together for close associations to build the synergy. The Academia-Industry partnership will ensure the mutual benefit to both the students as well as industry.

Institute of Professional Education & Research (IPER), Bhopal’s leading School of Management, started in 1996. IPER’s aim from the beginning was to create a professional manager out of its students by giving them learning environment in classrooms and exposure to the corporate environment of the working organization. For past 19 years, IPER strives to enrich each of its students with knowledge and skills with an emphasis on a practical approach.

IPER is devoted to industry and academic partnership aims at making its students knowledgeable enough to face the tasks and challenges of the work place, by imparting quality education in the field of management.

Recently IPER organized the interactive session for its MBA students with Mr. Shiv Shankar Pawar, Regional HR Manager, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd., to provide its students with the real-time corporate exposure of management practices in the industry. During the interaction, students liked Mr. Pawar’s un-formal approach of interaction. Apart from sharing his life/work experience, Mr. Pawar spoke on motivation and on various aspects of Human Resource Management.

The objective of the above session was to expose the students to understand the real time problems in the organization, to relate the theoretical knowledge and concepts learned in the classrooms to practical concepts in the organization and to learn real life application of management practices. This opportunity will provide added advantage to the students to find placements in the same or any other organization.
