The World Food Day Celebration

IPER UG celebrated World Food Day in association with the Institute of Hotel Management, Bhopal on 16th Oct 2019. A day to ensure that no one remains hungry and promote a healthy diet for healthy living. On the occasion of World Food Day – IPER UG CSR Community “Divine Hands” organized a certification workshop on Food Hygiene, Dining Etiquettes, and Table Manners. Plenty of students took part in the workshop full of learning healthy and sustainable diet and etiquette.

 

The World Food Day – Certification Workshop

The enthusiastic students of the CSR community chiefly became a parWorld Food Day Workshopt of this self-development exercise. Firstly, the workshop was conducted for 2 hours with a session on ‘Table Etiquettes & Table Layout’ by trainer Mr. Manish Maithani and session on ‘Health and Hygiene’ by Trainer- Ms. Ruchi Chouhan.

Session 1,  a brief discussion on ‘Why table manners are important?’ Mr. Manish Maithani, identically through his presentation and physical table-layout, explained how can we make ourselves more impressive with correct Table Etiquettes and Table manners.

Likewise, Session 2 taken by Ms Ruchi Tandon was on ‘Health and Hygiene’. Furthermore, the emphasis was on understanding healthy eating, restricting bacteria growth, avoiding cross-contamination and sanitization.

Conclusion

Lastly, at the end of the session, special words of wisdom given by Dr Anand Kumar Singh Principal IHM, Bhopal, who focused on ‘Changing daily routine habits and time schedule’. As a token to gratitude, saplings given to Principal and HOD of IHM and received Cotton-Trash Bags (By All students) as a mark to say ‘No to plastic and Go- Green initiative’ by IHM.
